Inferiority, Superiority and Competition.

A person can only feel inferior or superior if they are in some type of competition with an outside agent, be it human or non-human.

I can feel inferior to Beethoven because I cannot compose musical score, but I can feel superior to Nigel who has no musical talent what-so-ever. I can only feel these qualities if I am in the process of comparing myself with others, being in some form of competition.

If we drop competition and comparison and take up co-operation and appreciation, then the inferior / superior complex cannot co-exist with these new thought forms.

Likewise, we cannot be competitive and co-operative at the same time, as these two approaches are opposites. Competition is ego driven, whereas co-operation is less egotistically driven. These issues are related to the third chakra.

And its always worth remembering that the True Indweller behind all variety is "I" - The One Spirit. That realisation is very healthy and reduces ego-driven competition.
