WHEN THE MIND GOES TO OVERLOAD

The mind is a very delicate and subtle organism. One problem with contemporary western education is that we attempt to mold this mind by force. We actively encourage our children and young adults to force, often useless and meaningless, information into their very delicate and subtle minds.

What we tend to overlook, in our hectic pursuit of the perfect workforce, is to RESPECT the minds of our children - and then we wonder why our children turn upon us, have breakdowns, display disrespectful behaviour and are often violent and aggressive.

Why?

Because WE have taught them this and we have also OVERLOADED their subtle minds with a barrage of information and the added insult of informing them that unless they understand all this (which WE rarely do) then they face a life of poverty, unemployment or meaningless, soul destroying jobs. And then we wonder why they feel that this life is shit and not worth the effort and respect that it calls for.

Humanity needs to learn to RESPECT the mind and not treat it like a indestructable garbage can, that can soak up anything that is forced into it. We so often destroy, or at least thwart, the natural intelligence of human beings in the pursuit of intellectual knowledge.

No wonder so many minds get corrupted, burned out, exhausted or just malfunction.

The damage is NOT IRREVERSIBLE but a time of quiet, calm and rest is necessary.
