1433 - Sofia Vitovtovna, present at her son Vasili II's wedding, recognized that Vasily the Cross-Eyed wore a golden belt which had formerly belonged to her father-in-law, Dmitry Donskoi. Accusing Vasili of stealing, she solemnly pulled the belt from the bewildered prince. Disgusted with such a greed on Sofia's part, Vasili's father Yury of Zvenigorod left the capital and declared war, starting the Great Feudal War in Muscovy
